Pressure is on companies to be more flexible, adaptable and agile when delivering to the business goals and objectives. Service Orientation of both business and IT is often touted as the answer. However, a significant barrier to achieving this is the increasing complexity of the enterprise. Traditional methods of analisys and design often fail to consider the holistic impact of change across all stakeholders. An approach to addressing this challenge is to get those that can model the future - the Architects, to work closely with those who both understand the business, can communicate and validate the models, and help extrapolate the value. Combine the results of this collaboration with Portfolio Management and the risk of change will reduce and the benefits of change increase - a top priority for every CEO.
