The Importance of Domain Modelling

Description Speaker(s)

The role of the business analyst is to describe the business and its intentions. Therefore it is very important to discover meaning in the business domain of study and to describe the real-life objects in that domain, by way of what we know about them (data), what they do (function), and how they are related to each other (business rules).

Learning Objectives:

* understand and model the real business concepts
* develop consistent business vocabulary across various groups
* discover the rules that govern the business
* agree the scope of any change required
* communicate effectively the business "requirements"
