Two of the critical success factors for any project are communication with and between the stakeholders, and stakeholder understanding of the project. Using an agile approach to define the project scope and boundaries right at the start helps to ensure that all stakeholders (including the business analysts) go into the project with their eyes wide open. An agile RAP (RApid Planning) session is a useful tool to increase stakeholder understanding and communication.
