Managing the Partnership between the BA, PM, IT Developer and End User

Description Speaker(s)

After a brief presentation, this session will facilitate a “value network analysis” (VNA) session with the audience to create a value network map showing the value flows between the BA, the PM, the IT developer roles and on to the end client. The value flows will contain both tangible deliverables but also the important “intangible” deliverables that need to exist if a profitable relationships is to be achieved. Flowing from the VNA is a “Partnership Scorecard” which can be used to manage and monitor your BA/PM/IT Developers relationships. This is designed as an interactive, participatory session, with the audience nominating the value flows.

Learning Objectives

  • Effective relationships require more than throwing specifications “over the fence”.
  • The BA/PM/IT Developer roles are interdependent, requiring 3 way co-ordination to create true value for the end client.
  • Intangibles matter. Value is in the eye of the beholder. Not just the end user, but the BA, PM and IT developer.
