The Accidental Project Manager: Project Managment Skills for Team and Technical Leads
Description Speaker(s)

Attendees will learn the importance of project management and key concepts, understanding their role as an accidental project manager and the importance of building and sustaining the team. In addition they need to understand all roles and responsibilities on the project as well as how to communicate with stakeholders up, down and across the organization. Initial requirements gathering and scoping of the project with basic charter documents will be covered.

Kim has many years of practical industry experience first at 3M and then at Medtronic. In addition she has held leadership roles for both the Project Management Institute and the Product Development and Management Association. She is currently the Past Chair of the New Product SIG of Global PMI and the Chair Elect of the Consulting SIG of Global PMI. In addition she holds an At Large Board position for the Minnesota Facilitators Network as well as the Minnesota Product Development and Management Association.
