Australian Business Analysis Association (ABAA) development of competency framework
Description Speaker(s)

The ABAA has been developing a competency framework and is now seeking input from business as well as business analysts. This session will provide a background to the ABAA, then provide a background to the competency framework developed to date. The session will then be opened up to the participants to discuss and agree on the framework.

Learning Objectives:

* Understand the role of the ABAA
* Provide input into the competency framework
* Understand the link between competencies and accreditation

 

Peter Gibbins

Australian Business Analysis Association

Peter has been involved with the ABAA since 2003 and is one of the founding members. Peter’s background has been as a Senior Business Analyst, Project Manager, and Managing Consultant over the last 28 years. Peter has a Master of Commerce from University of Western Sydney and is an Associate Member of AIPM. Peter has also a Qualified Business Analysis Professional (QBAP) through the ABAA.
