Californina State AAA (CSAA) initiated an enteprise data warehouse project in the fall of 2006. This project needed to take into account the views and needs of 27 different business areas spread across 4 different offices in the western US.
The project team developed a communication strategy to engage the busines community from requirements, through design, into deployment. This strategy increased success through consistent business feedback, and socialized training.
This presentation will provide a guided case study to go from a standing start to a prioritized set of business requirements into delivered enterprise data warehouse and business intelligence solution.

Bill Wimsatt has 20 years of experience in technology development and deployment. He has worked as a consultant, technology director, and entrepreneur, and is currently a technology practice director for Wells Landers in Colorado. He has co-founded several successful companies, including 1783 Productions, which was named one of the top eCommerce companies in 2000 by Oracle. He has several U.S. patents and is the inventor of the DVD Rewinder. He has spoken at many technical and business conferences on topics from database design to professional management.
